Delhi Development Authority (DDA) Housing Scheme to be launching in December 2018
The Delhi Development Authority (DDA) had started the housing scheme in June 2018, now it has been delayed by December. Under the new scheme, the housing society will be offered new unit instead of dedicated equivalents in earlier plans. However, according to the DDA speaker of 21,000 riders on the offer, nothing is complete. Also, we want to provide basic infrastructure to the packages where DDA has constructed. All this will take a while and therefore, the launch will be delayed.
The DDA will set up 20,987 flats, of which 488 will be three-bedroom flat for the high-income group (HIV). 579 flats for medium-income group flats; Sales of 16,296 for low-income groups and 3,624 houses for economically weaker sections. New houses will be constructed at Vasant Kunj, Dwarka, Narela, Rohini and Siraspur. DDA has started construction in most of the places and is expected to be completed by March next year. Also, the size of one bedroom units has been increased from 323 sq ft to 430 sq ft.
Earlier, there were plans to build 16,000 houses, but by 2022, there was a revised target of constructing one lakh houses. Now the total number has been updated with the current figure.
According to media reports, the hygiene facilities will be equipped with premium safety features in the HIG Flat to be built in Jasola Vihar. Also, Delhi Development Authority has claimed that to construct a flat with the latest earthquake-resistant technology, which can count on the earthquake’s 89.5-liter scale. The project will also have RO-treated water for local wastewater treatment, drinking water and multi-layered underground parking. The package will be built according to the National Building Code 2016. Code Minimum standard size, dimension, building column spots, parking rules, building height uniform and floor area ratio at emergency, and exemption measures.
