Mhada Mumbai Board President Madhu Chavan told the chief daily, “Our Chief Officer had suggested and sought legal opinion on the lottery that will take place during the Model Code of Conduct. Therefore, the date was postponed from April 21 to June 2, 2019. Another reason is that many MHADA officials are busy in election duty. This will give the public more time to file their application. ”

The date of the housing lottery can be declared in the coming days. Flats are available in MHADA schemes in Mumbai, Konkan, Pune, Nashik and Aurangabad areas. As announced by MHADA president Uday Samant, the State Government will declare lottery before the Model Code of Conduct for the Lok Sabha elections is implemented.
MHADA will announce 238 homes and 107 shops in Mumbai lottery. 1000 houses in Nashik, 4464 houses in Pune, 800 houses in Aurangabad and 9,000 houses in Konkan division will be announced. Makda homes will be available at Konkan-Dombivali, Khoni, Konkan division at Andheri. According to the Samanta, the cost of property in Mumbai’s Tunga area will be reduced.
